It’s Interesting

It’s truly fascinating how quickly we can grow as individuals or even learn from certain experiences. Some people say that true change and growth takes time and I can’t help but agree. However, rather recently, I have come to realize that all change may not in fact take that long.

Recent events in my life have really changed the way I look at things. Okay: truth time. I have always been somewhat of a perfectionist. I am methodical and practically borderline obsessive about certain things. Of course, the range of this stops somewhere at homework and the “tidiness” of my room. It’s safe to say that I am simply organized and I like things precise. The point being that, with this kind of mentality, you’re bound to over-think and over-analyze.

BOOM!Image

Mistake! At the end of the day, we all have to realize that there are simply things we cannot control. Some things are out of our hands. There are times when we have to be satisfied with the thought that we did all we could.

Life has a funny way of making things turn out the way they are truly supposed to. That’s why we cannot over-think. Speaking from personal experience, it literally eats a person up from the inside out. We cannot spend our lives dwelling on something we simply cannot change.

All we can do is our best. If something is meant to happen, it will. Just don’t give up, keep trying, and work for what you want.

Will this guarantee absolute happiness and assurance? No. I am not sure anything really can. However, working for something does make it so that obstacles cannot get in the way if you won’t let them.

Once in a while, there will be walls we can’t climb. There will be bridges that are broken at the other end. There are doors we cannot always open. But you have to believe that everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens without meaning.

There is always something there for you to learn from…

The next time you feel hopeless, remind yourself that all that can be done is what you are capable of doing. Everything will work out for the best, even if it doesn’t seem so at the time.

Until Next Time…

  1. Well said! And not overstated. You remind me so much of your grandma who, as you know, also says, “This too shall pass.” And your great grandma would say, “No hay mal que por bien no venga,” to your final point. Great post! I will share!
